One side of the MG/Austin Healey connection. This is a fine tiny MG Midget third series, in an interesting orange color, caught on sunday at the “Domeniche al Piazzale” gathering in Florence, Italy.
This third series (recessed front grille, rounded rear arches) could be dated back to 1972-1974 just before the introduction of the odd rubber bumpers (requested by the US regulations).
These little British spiders are not that common here around.
In the same meeting there was also a Austin Healey Sprite MK I, the frogeye, and it’s quite upsetting the strong lost of personality that affected that model when they unified the production with the MG Midget.
