The Opel Commodore B is the upper class evolution of the Rekord D from which is based. Upgraded interior, bigger engines and better finishing are the keys here, but the original sin of these is the strict affinity with the lower sisters that make them hard to be received as hi end cars.
The one here pictured (not in perfect shape as you see) is the top specs 2.8 Coupé GS/E version, powered by the 6-in-line 2.8L engine with 155HP.
The vinyl roof (a must have optional on these) seems like hided by the blue livery but look at the central exaust! Great😉

This kind of car in those years has been really shortlived due to the oil crisis although the Coupé substantially sold quite well with more than 40.000 units.
