The announce was in the air, after the news appeared on La Stampa newspaper a few weeks ago.
Automotoretrò says goodbye to the Lingotto complex, moving to Emilia. The new beginning of the fair is in Parma, where the event will be held from 3 to 5 March 2023, in conjunction with Mercanteinfiera.
The move
“We have tried in every possible way to keep the event in Turin, where it was born in 1983, but the conditions no longer exist – explains the organizer Beppe Gianoglio -. We are therefore pleased to announce the move to the innovative Parma exhibition center which, together with the local institutions, will help us grow even more Automotoretrò. The choice fell on Parma also for its strategic value as a junction between Central Italy and the North-East: the goal is to enter the hearts of all fans who do not yet know us”.
Perspectives
The new venue represents a challenge for Automotoretrò with a destiny binded to Auto e Moto d’Epoca, which similarly chooses the Motorvalley with the transfer to Bologna for the 2023 edition-
It should be noted that Parma is no stranger to vintage car fairs, where in the autumn edition of Mercante In Fiera, the “Mercante in auto” event already presented visitors with historic cars. We will see under the new Turin’s brand what the developments of the event will be.
As an enthusiasts, I still regret having left the historic headquarters of the Lingotto, which personally represented an important plus in visiting the event. We’ll see, in March, what the new venue will offert to all the classic car’s enthusiasts.
